Questions, answered

Everything before
you hit render.

Clear answers about output, credits, team access and what happens inside the production pipeline.

01What does Clippex do?

Clippex analyzes long form video, finds strong moments, reframes them for social formats, adds captions, renders the selected clips, and organizes delivery in a shared workspace.

02What is a credit?

One credit is exactly one second of finished rendered video. A 45 second delivered clip uses 45 credits.

03Do failed renders use credits?

No. Clippex reserves the expected output before final rendering, then releases that reservation if the job fails or is canceled.

04Is source video duration billed?

No. Billing is based on finished output, not the length of the podcast, webinar, interview, or source file.

05Which formats can Clippex create?

The workflow supports vertical 9:16, square 1:1, and landscape 16:9 output, with smart subject framing and optional brand overlays.

06Can a team share projects?

Yes. Workspaces support owners, editors, and viewers so teams can separate production access from review access.

07How long are files retained?

Retention depends on the plan: Free has short trial retention, while Creator, Pro, Studio, and Enterprise offer progressively longer storage windows.

08Can I add credits without changing plans?

Yes. A 3,600 credit add on gives you 60 finished minutes for $12.

09Does Clippex add a watermark?

Free output is watermarked. Paid plans remove the watermark and unlock higher export resolution.

10How do I start?

Create a free workspace, paste a supported public video URL, select your output format, and start production. The first 600 credits are included.
